About the Journal

Aims and scope
The Libyan Journal of Medical Research (LJMR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to advancing knowledge across all disciplines of medical and applied sciences. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports, and short communications across various medical disciplines.

The journal is intended for a broad international audience, including clinicians, researchers, educators, and medical students across all fields of medicine and health sciences. By covering the full spectrum of medical disciplines, LJMR serves as a comprehensive resource for both academic and clinical communities.

As an open-access publication, LJMR ensures that all interested readers can freely access its content online without a subscription fee. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process, and decisions regarding acceptance or rejection are made rapidly and to the highest standards.

The journal is an international, peer-reviewed journal with full text available online. The journal allows free access to its contents and allows authors to self-archive their final accepted and published articles. The journal is currently published quarterly (July, December). The acceptance rate is 40%.

Authors of articles accepted for publication in our journal should obtain an ORCID number (www.orcid.org) and/or a Thomson Reuters Researcher ID (www.researcherid.com).

The Libyan Journal of Medical Research Center utilizes iThenticate, a leading provider of professional plagiarism detection services.

The LJMR is already listed in Google Scholar and CrossRef and is being applied for indexing in other databases. The LJMR content is digitally preserved in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). The Libyan Journal of Medical Research has obtained the Arab Impact Factor for 2024 and 2025.

The journal is owned and published by the Libyan Medical Research Centre, and the management of the journal is handled by the editorial team.
